Dr. Ayşe Alemdar Thomson is a research and business development professional with over 25 years of multidisciplinary experience in product innovation—from conceptualization to commercialization of research results in Europe and North America. As Battery Innovation Research Cluster Project Manager, Dr. Thomson works closely with the interdisciplinary research team, and the cluster’s collaborators and partners to generate new knowledge and practice to help establish a resilient Canadian battery supply chain.

Dr. Thomson manages the research and operational activities of the Cleantech Hub. She works closely with the Director for Research and Industry Partnerships to execute the overall vision of the Cleantech Hub research innovation strategy, including cultivating, negotiating, closing, and implementing research funding and business partnerships with external industry partners. Dr. Thomson holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics.
